Obituary of Barry Lewis Fletcher

    Barry Lewis Fletcher, 75, beloved husband of Deirdre Clerc Fletcher passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023, at his residence following an extended illness.
     Born on March 2, 1948, in Knoxville, TN, he was the son of the late Arthur Lewis Davis Jr. and Scott Maness Petry. Mr. Fletcher was a member of the First Baptist Church of Williston and was a past member of the Palmetto Golf Club. He attended Clemson University and received a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of South Carolina Aiken. He loved the mountains, the Allman Brothers Band and playing Golf. He was an avid Clemson Tigers fan. However, most of all he loved his family and friends and the time he spent with each of them. 
     Surviving in addition to his wife are a son and daughter-in-law, Victor & Sally Tice of Aiken; 2 granddaughters, Rachel Larson and Maggie Tice; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David & Vicki Clerc of Aiken and his lifelong and closest friend, David Garber of Aiken.
     Funeral services with military honors will be conducted on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 10:00am in the Historic George Funeral Home Downtown Chapel with Rev. John Carroll officiating.
     The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave SW, Aiken, SC 29801(803) 649-6234.
