Obituary of Violet Flack Morgan

Mrs. Violet Flack Morgan died on January 31, 2010 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Bertha Jane Jamison Flack and Mason Dave Flack. She was born on May 25, 1918 in Ronceverte, WV and lived in Dunbar, WV before moving to Aiken in 1953. She was a retired sales clerk from J.B. Whites Department Store and attended South Aiken Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her brother, Lee Verlin Flack and his wife, Eleanor Flack of White Sulphur Springs, WV; sons, Donald Morgan and his wife Marlene of Graniteville, SC; Bobbie Morgan and his wife Mary of Swansea, SC; granddaughters, Debra Chalker and her husband Eddie of Graniteville, Paula Moore and her husband Dr. Clark Moore of Aiken, and great granddaughter, Morgan Leigh Moore of Columbia, SC. She was predeceased by her husband of fifty five years, Dorcie E. Morgan, brother, Eddie Albert Flack.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to Hospice Care of South Carolina, their staff, and the certified nursing assistants for their excellent care. Also we thank Rev. Christopher Crotwell and the members of South Aiken Presbyterian Church for their prayers and support.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 11am at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave, SW, Aiken with Rev. Christopher Crotwell officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Eddie Chalker, Clark Moore, MD, John Callan, Nicholas Jeancake, James Bunch, and Larry Harrelson. The family will receive friends tonight Tuesday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
