Obituary of Wayne Judson Wilmot

AIKEN, SC – Wayne Judson Wilmot, age 81, was born June 29, 1942 in Toccoa, GA and passed away October 5, 2023 in Aiken, SC.

Wayne was the son of Betty Wheeler Wilmot and Bernard Wayne Wilmot.

Wayne leaves behind his loving wife, Carol Annette Wilmot; a son, Wayne Judson Wilmot II; his sister, Evelyn Buce; two step-daughters, Debora Annette Lee and Yvonne Renee Simms.

Wayne was in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1959 to 1963. He then went into the insurance business. He was a chartered life underwriter, LUTC graduate, a MDRT and life underwriting graduate. He was an active member of the insurance association, serving on the Board of Directors and as President. He was also involved in the Lions Club of Virginia for several years.

Wayne loved playing golf and loved sports cars, especially his 1966 Ford Mustang.
