Obituary of John Parker Edel

AIKEN, SC – John Parker Edel passed away at home on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.

John was born on October 20th, 1937 in NYC. He grew up in Pound Ridge, NY and attended William and Mary College. He wed Jacqueline Rogers on February 17th, 1967, with whom he had three sons. They lived and reared these children along with dogs and horses mostly in Fairfield, CT. It was an active life filled with family, friends, business, travel, books, conversation, gardens, and laughter. They retired outside of Aiken, SC where they built a new home, new gardens and new friendships and welcomed a beloved grandchild. They had recently moved to Aiken proper.

John is survived by his wife Jackie Edel, his sons Geordie, Jonathon, Roger and his granddaughter Sadie Wray and the impact he made on countless lives.
