Obituary of Sonia Jaqueline Martinez Lopez

Sonia Jaqueline Martinez Lopez, 45, of Aiken passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023, following a period of declining health.

Sonia was born on June 14, 1978, in Mexico City, Mexico, a daughter of Aristeo Martinez and Maria Elena Lopez. She was a loving daughter, sister and aunt.

Surviving in addition to her parents are 4 sisters, Rosa (Pedro) Negrete of Aiken, Gabreilla (Federico) Villarreal of Chicago, IL, Rita (Alejander) Moreno of Aiken and Rocio (David) Navarro of Hammond, ID; 3 brothers, Aristeo (Maria) Martinez, Servando (Silvia) Martinez and Isidro (Maria) Martinez all of Aiken, SC. In addition, Sonia was survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at 7:00pm at St. Mary Help of Christian Church Historic Park Ave Chapel.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday afternoon, September 12, 2023, from 4:00pm until 6:30pm at the Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave SW, Aiken, SC 29801. (803) 649-6234.

Sonia nació el 14 de junio de 1978 en la Ciudad de México, México, hija de Aristeo Martínez y María Elena López. Era una hija, hermana y tía amorosa.

Además de sus padres, sobreviven 4 hermanas, Rosa (Pedro) Negrete de Aiken, Gabreilla (Federico) Villarreal de Chicago, IL, Rita (Alejander) Moreno de Aiken y Rocío (David) Navarro de Hammond, ID; 3 hermanos, Aristeo (Maria) Martínez, Servando (Silvia) Martínez e Isidro (María) Martínez todos de Aiken, SC. Además, a Sonia le sobrevivieron numerosas sobrinas y sobrinos.

Se celebrará una misa fúnebre el martes 12 de septiembre de 2023 a las 7:00 pm en la capilla de St. Mary Help of Christian Church Historic Park Ave.
