Obituary of Jean Therese Baumhardt

Jean Therese Meyer Baumhardt, 79, of Spartanburg, died Sunday, August 20, 2023.  Jean was born on October 9, 1943, in Milwaukee, WI, a daughter of the late Lester and Ann Marie Weirnert Meyer.  She was married to the late Robert James Baumhardt. 

Jean was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. She was a resident of Aiken, SC from 1990-2022, where she was a member of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church.  She graduated from Marquette University and served as a medical technologist. 

Surviving is her daughter, Cara Thompson (Wade) of Spartanburg; her son, Robert Baumhardt (Lisa) of Manomnee Hall, WI; her four grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Marissa and Lauren; and her sister, Lois Krahn of Mamomnee Hall, WI. 

A Christian Wake Service and visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Monday, August 28, 2023, at Floyd’s North Church Street Chapel, 235 North Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 290 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302, conducted by the Reverend David R. Whitman.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, 1255 University Lane, Aiken, SC. 29801 at a day and time to be announced by the Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave SW, Aiken, SC 29801.
