Stephen was my little brother. Growing up, it was always fun picking on him being the baby of the family. He would often share that story of I calling him from another room to hurry up and look to only show him a poop in the toilet. Or walking past him as he was sitting in front of the TV watching cartoons and passing gas as I paused in front of him. Our kind of fun was just that silly stuff. We didn't have a lot but we had each other. After our mother passed, life got difficult for all of us. We managed to survive and continue to bond as family whenever we could over the years. It's always holidays, weddings and funerals that bring families back together but I sure did not expect to lose Stephen at 49. He was much too young and good person always willing to help and joke around. My kids to this day still remember the leftover Thanksgiving sandwiches on the inverted glaze donut. We will always love and miss you bro!

Stephen is my cousin and I have great memories together playing as kids at the family cookouts and gatherings. He was always quick with a joke and always smiling. I recall a great memory in our teen years when Stephen started driving and bought a Firebird. He was always a car fan so he took me for a ride to to show me his new car. The ride could be summarized as squealing tires, smoke pouring from the back end while blasting music. That’s when I knew Stephen spoke my language and we would forever have a common interest. I’m sorry to hear of this loss for all of his family and friends. Stephen left all of us with great memories together as family and friends.

I loved Steve’s sense of humor. We were FB friends and I looked forward to reading his jokes, car tips and recipe’s. When it occasionally didn’t show up on my feed, I would go straight to his page and “like” something so he would again show up. I was always afraid I’d miss something. Steve was the youngest of 4 children. He is survived by his sister, Michelle, and brother, Mark. Though his brother Michael left this world in 2013, it is safe to say all three of his siblings loved him very much.
