Obituary of Larry Chester White

Mr. Larry Chester White, 81, beloved husband of Carolyn Elsler White passed away early Sunday morning, June 25, 2023 at Aiken Regional Medical Center following an illness.

Born in Louisville, KY on April 21, 1942, he was the son of the late Eva Loretta Risinger Graham and Chester Carm White. Larry was a proud United States Navy Veteran having served his country from 1962-1970 as a submariner on a nuclear submarine. Mr. White was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. He was active in the Stephen Ministry. He an avid bird watcher and enjoyed playing tennis and golf.

Surviving in addition to his wife are 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Keith & Barbara White of Long Beach, CA, Dale & Donna White and Kevin & Raye White all of Aiken; a daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Amy Joyce & Gordon Hu of Marietta, GA; a brother and sister-in-law, Darrell & Dorothy Graham of Palmyra, IN; grandchildren, Jacob & Lauren White, Nicholas & Katrina White, Amanda White, Abigail White, Stephen White, Alexander Hu and Robert Hu; bonus grandchildren, Timothy Boyd, James Hope and Letitia Hope.

In addition to his parents, Mr. White was pre-deceased in death by his first wife, Patrica White.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 2:00pm in the sanctuary of St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. Jeff Erbskorn officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Choir Fund, 961 Trail Ridge Road, Aiken, SC 29803.
