Alexander Wade Hecker, 2 month old son of Dwayne Jay and Angel Gina Gilmore Hecker of Aiken, SC passed away at his home following a brave 2 month battle.

Alex was born on March 26, 2023 in Aiken SC. He was cherished from the moment of his birth. In addition to his parents Alex leaves behind a sister, Alayna Nicole Hecker; 2 brothers, Tristen Micheal Hecker & Wyatt Oliver Hecker; his paternal grandparents, Dennis & Theresa Christy of New Ellenton, SC; his paternal great-grandparents, Larry & Sandra Goss of Arizona;  aunts and uncles,  Jennifer “Jenny” Ree Gilmore & her husband Ethan Simmons of NC, Derl Charles Watson Gilmore of Charleston, SC, William David & Cassandra Hecker, Jr. of TN, Daniel Lee Hecker of New Ellenton, Donovan Lewis & Janine Hecker of New Ellenton & Michelle Dee Soper. Alex also leaves behind numerous cousins and other family members.

Alex was predeceased in death by his sister, Madison Marie Hecker and his maternal grandparents, Eugene “Gene” Emerson & Donna Jean Watson Gilmore.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 11, 2023 from 2-4:00p.m. at the Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803) 649-6234.
