Mary Dassau, 71, of North Augusta, SC passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday morning, May 10, 2023 with her sister at her side.

Mary was born on June 8, 1951 in Jamica Queens, NY a daughter of the late Harold R. & Ann Marie Connor Dassau. Mary was a proud United States Army Veteran having retired with the rank of Sergeant E-7 after 20 years of service to her country. She was a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christian’s Church in Aiken, SC.

Mary is survived by her sister and brother in law, Karen Lauritsen & James Branch of North Augusta, SC; her God Daughter, Shannon Brigid of Nashville, TN and her three nephews, Bryan Hein of Hawaii, Sean Hein of Wilmington, NC & Trevor Connor of Sacramento, CA. 

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 11:00am at St. Mary Help of Christians Church, 138 Fairfield St. SE, Aiken, SC 29801 with Father Orlando Serrano Ardila as celebrant

Final commendations and farewells with full military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery, 1255 University Lane, Aiken, SC 29801.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass at the Historic George Funeral Homes & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803) 649.6234.
