Obituary of Brenda Gale Busbee
Mrs. Brenda Gale Morris Day Busbee, 73, beloved wife of Kenneth Wayne Busbee, passed away Tuesday evening, March 21, 2023.
Brenda was born on May 16, 1949 in Aiken, SC, a daughter of the late Charlie A. “Pete” and Eunice Fulmer Morris. Brenda was the co-owner of the First Lady Beauty Salon along with her partner and “sister”, Lynn Gregory. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. Brenda was a tireless caregiver and lifelong philanthropist, who never met a stranger. She loved each of the people she worked with and all of her customers dearly. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother who nurtured everyone with good food, great stories, and the best advice.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 52 years, are two daughters and sons-in-law, Lindsey & Brian “Scooter” White of Leesville, SC and Jessie & Clay Adams of Aiken; and her siblings: Rachel & Paul Peacock of Ridge Spring, SC; Leslie Morris of Beech Island, SC; Mickey & Sarah Morris, Carolyn & Lavern Powell, and Tim & Lisa Morris, all of Aiken.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 3:00p.m. in the sanctuary of Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken McDonald and Dr. Chris Masters officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00p.m. until 3:00p.m. Saturday at the church.
