I met Claudia in 2019 at the Branch Brook Park Cherry Blossom Center where I was training to become a Master Gardener. She was always friendly with a smile, despite the fact I would arrive late because of my job. She was an excellent and engaging instructor when she taught one of our MGEC classes.
I also remember her being very kind to my wife and I at the first Plant Sale we worked. She was fun with such an engaging personality and a wealth of plant knowledge she never hesitated to share. Claudia later recruited me to join the MGEC Executive Committee, of which I have been involved since late 2020.
I do not believe I would have become as involved as I am without her encouragement and positivity. I just became aware of all that she has done over the years for our organization. She was truly a beacon of light for myself and others with her gardening knowledge and positive energy. Sending peace, love and light to the family during this difficult time.

Claudia was an invaluable resource and volunteer at Grover Cleveland Park for over 10 years from 2005. She shared her knowledge of plants and invasive species. The gardens and plantings that she designed will continue to provide beauty and enjoyment for all.

When I took over the greenhouse as one of three co-chairs, Claudia taught us much of what we needed to know to successfully grow tomatoes, coleus and other plants. She never hesitated to pick up her phone to offer advice or come personally to help out and explain next steps. She truly enjoyed passing on her expertise of growing plants.
