I remember working with Mike when he was the Service Manager at Dave Ball Chevrolet in Syracuse, NY and I was runing BRT Leasing. Years later I hired Mike to build a new office for me off the end of my home. He did a beautiful job, and everyone who sees it calls it stunning. He was a good guy, and I send my condolences to his family. My wife and I stopped for lunch today in Aiken, and we thought we would see if we could locate Mike. Truly sorry to read the news.

Mike not only loved golf. He also loved to ski. Even though he didn’t take the sport up until his fifty’s, he mastered it very well. We skied almost every Wednesday night at Song Mountain in CNY. Mike even skied in Utah with my family and other friends or Mike and Jill. Fond, fond memories. Golfing, hiking, skiing, making maple syrup, paying cards, working with Mike were just some of the precious memories I’ll always have with him. A humble, classy guy. He will be missed. Love you buddy!

My memories of Mike will always be of his great sense of humor, warm smile and caring heart. Playing cards and golfing with Jill and Mike will always be a fond memory. As will skiing at Song and our trip out west showing him what it is like to ski in powder.

I first met Mike when he was the service manager at dealership where I purchased new trucks. Later when he became a general contractor I would work for him and his family as one of his sub-contractors. Enjoyed the time working together and always made sure we had some laughs and frequently visited our favorite Chinese restaurant for lunch. I would stop at his office which was in there home and take time to play a quick game of basketball with Andrew and have a couple of laughs with Jill and Makayla. Just a great man and family. When they moved from the area you felt the immediate impact and you always wish you had more time. Now that feeling is stronger than ever. My condolences to Jill and kids. Will miss you and think about you often.

Mike was a treasured friend, favorite golf pal of Rob’s, and Jan’s hero! He helped us with a very awkward situation in our home, by building a set of stairs to access a room above our garage, that needed a most creative solution, and Mike had the answer! He greeted everyone with a smile and a kind word, and we all loved to be around him. He will be missed by all who were blessed enough to know him.
