Funeral services for Mr. Lewis Evan Fent will be held Monday, December 27, 2004 at 11 AM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC with Rev. Dr. Rodney K. Powell officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint, MI. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 26, 2004 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Fent, 94, of Aiken, SC and formerly of Flushing, MI, died Wednesday, morning, December 22, 2004 at Eden Gardens. Born in Montrose, MI, a son of the late Lewis and Maude Clemens Fent, he had been a Meat Cutter from the age of 14 until he retired at 65. He came to Aiken, SC in 1993 from Flushing, MI, where he joined Trinity United Methodist Church. He is survived by sons, Robert L. ?Bob? Fent Barbara and Richard C. ?Dick? Fent, Betty both of Aiken, SC and Reverend James E. ?Jim? Fent, Martha Berrien Springs, MI; seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to his parents, his wife, Phyllis Collyer Fent, also preceded him in death. Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 2724 Whiskey Rd., Aiken, SC 29803.
