NEW ELLENTON, SC – Harry R. Sankey Jr., age 71, passed away September 1, 2022, at Piedmont Hospital, Augusta, GA.

Mr. Sankey was born October 13, 1950, in Sheboygan, WI to Delores and the late Harry R. Sankey Sr. He was a resident of the area since the 1960’s. He held a variety of jobs but was primarily a truck driver by trade. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Aiken. His greatest joys were fishing and trains.

Surviving are his mother, Delores Sankey, New Ellenton, SC; two sons, Harry R. Sankey III (Dawn), New Ellenton, SC and Robert Sankey (Stephanie), Augusta, GA; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 902 Hitchcock Dr., Aiken, SC 29803.
