Ret. SSGT Edward Milburn Titsworth, 89, widower of the late Wilma Louise Morton Titsworth, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday morning, August 4, 2022.
Ret. SGGT Titsworth was born on January 11, 1933 in Huntsville, Alabama a son of the late Otha and Geraldine Goodson Titsworth. Mr. Titsworth was an American Patriot who served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service to his nation. He was of the Methodist faith. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Mr. Titsworth was an outdoors enthusiast who loved to hunt and fish and pass those traditions down to his children and grandchildren. He considered it a challenge to be able to take disassemble a broken item to find out what was wrong with it and then repair it.
Surviving include his 4 daughters, Donna Silva of Charlotte, Sharon (Karl) McPherson of Sharpsburg, GA, Edie (Stan) Thompson of Aiken & Melissa Titsworth of Sharpsburg, GA; 2 sons, Robert (Theresa) Titsworth of North Augusta and Mark Titsworth; 6 grandchildren, Christine Silva, Bryan Thompson, Erin Edmond, Jonathan Thompson & Joshua Strickland; and 8 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services with military honors will be conducted on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 10:00a.m. in Southlawn Cemetery, 4524 Whiskey Road, Aiken, SC 29803 with the Rev. K. Scott Ayers officiating.
