Pat was my Board of Governors mentor when I was on the American Red Cross National Youth Council. I will always be grateful that we were paired together. I remember Pat as a warm, generous, and lovely woman who I looked up to. Despite her hectic schedule, I was so touched when she would take the time to do things such as send me home baked cookies to my college dorm room on Valentines Day and send me cards throughout the year. These simple acts say volumes about the type of person Pat was. She was one of a kind and I feel so fortunate that I had the chance to know her.

It was gracious of Pat's family to share her for so long with Red Cross. I instantly felt Pat's inner power and motivation when I met her years ago through two ARC volunteer auditors from Ohio. She did so much for the organization and inspired many to continue volunteering to further the mission of the American Red Cross. She has left a wonderful legacy to long remember!

I will truly miss Pat, as we developed a great friendship while on the Red Cross Board. Pat had such a pleasant personality and added much to the Board. Her commitment to Biomedical matters and to the Armed Services was especially strong, and we all learned from her.

It was a true honor to have known Pat. She was a "Shinning Star" in the history of the American Red Cross; always putting her service to the ARC at the top of her list. Pat will truely be missed and fondly remembered by her ARC family in Central Ohio.

We were so sorry to hear the news about Pat. I had the honor of serving with her on the National Red Cross Board for a number of years and she was such a wonderful and gracious lady. Her service before self attitude was evident and our work together during the tragedy of 9-11 is certainly memorable. I'm sure she is hand in hand with the angels. Our most sincere sympathy to the family on the loss of this most special lady.

So sorry to hear of Pats passing. I knew her when she was at St. Peters Church in Delaware where we both were members and and past President of the no longer functioning Episcopal Women's group. She was a tireless volunteer here and a wonderful person to know.

I was so sad to learn yesterday when I went to teach Zumba at Trinity Lutheran home that Mrs. Pat had passed away. I will so miss her. She brought so much spirit and happiness to everyone around her. Even though I could tell she didn't feel well on many days, she never gave up. She was one of the most unique and interesting people I've ever met. I loved hearing her tell stories about her very accomplished life. I loved the way she always wanted us to do little shows. Her latest idea was to have some of the zumba participants do solos during our next performance. Zumba class at Trinity will not be the same without her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.
With deepest sympathy,
Bonnie Maxwell
