When we first met Marissa at the Walker practice she was always so caring, compassionate and knowledgeable and we always enjoyed seeing her and our conversations with her. I was able to speak with Marissa on July 6th. Although still hopeful she was weary. Marissa was so dear to our family, helping us through many health issues. She unexpectedly became a dear friend and we loved her. Before we ended our conversation we prayed together and I gave her this Scripture. She asked that God would heal her: mind, body, soul and spirit. His ways are mysterious and not always what we want but she trusted in His goodness, no matter the answer. Psalm 56:3-4 "When I am afraid, I put my trust in God. In God whose word I praise, In God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?" Kathy Bergman, Brainerd

Marissa and I were close friends for many years. I truly missed her when she moved away from the Walker/Hackensack area. My husband and I threw her a going away party before she went into the military and still laugh and reminisce about how much fun we had. Marissa enjoyed life and was an old soul. I wish we could be there for her funeral. She will be missed dearly. May God be with her soul. May Jesus send her husband, parents, family & friends His love during this difficult time. Marissa touched us all with her positive attitude and strength. As a member of our Brain Soul Success Mastermind Community, a tight knit group of amazing people on the path of self growth, Marissa's smile and bubbly spirit will forever be with us. Her soul is so pure and light and I see her as a BIG Angel in heaven free of suffering and sharing her gifts, watching over all her family and friends. She told me she wanted to be a beach in a polka dot bikini, whole, healthy and happy- she is on that beach in heaven enjoying the ocean waves, salty air and sea gulls flying overhead. Thank you Marissa for the gift of knowing you and your beautiful soul. My condolences to the family and blessings to all whose lives she touched. I said a prayer on July 10th and created a memorial in my garden. The mums often bloom in the Fall and this purple one must be blooming now for our beautiful Marissa.

We are in shock but certainly not like the shock that you, her family & close friends, are experiencing. We got to know Marissa at the clinic in Walker, MN. We looked forward to each visit we had with her when she was there and always had to get a report from Sheryl when she wasn't. We enjoyed being greeted by her with her big beautiful smile & being able to catch up on all that was going on in her life. There was always the real sense of friendship & interest in her greetings, sharing with us & her care for us in helping us address our health needs. She had a way about her that we felt truly connected with her & that she cared from the center of her being. We will miss that and the times we got to be with her. Our hearts are broken & we can only say how sad we are for all those in her life who were so much closer to her than we were. Gus & Sheryl, we hurt so much for you in the loss of your wonderfully special & beautiful daughter and we pray for you in your sorrow. Randy & Penny Olson

Marissa was a kind young lady that will be terribly missed!! She made you feel like you were part of her family and that's how we felt about her...she was very SPECIAL to us! We will forever remember her voice, laughter, conversations, warm hugs and before leaving she would always say "I love you guys so much". We were blessed to have her in our life!!
