Please share a memory of Annette to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

AIKEN, SC – Annette Bryson Penix, age 72, joined family and friends in heaven on the 7th of June 2022 after a brief battle of colon cancer.

Annette was born April 28, 1950, in Spartanburg, SC to the late James Willard Bryson and the late Margaret Moon Bryson. Annette lived in Munster, IN; Columbia, SC; and overseas but returned to Aiken, SC in 1987 to be closer to her family. Here, she reunited with the love of her life, Richard Penix, who preceded her in death in 2015.

Annette will be remembered for her love for her family, especially her daughter, Shelley, son-in-law, Wil, and her granddaughter, Madeline Verona, who stole her heart from the moment she was born. Annette also leaves behind two brothers, Stephen Bryson and Phillip Bryson (Denise); and an aunt, Betty Brown, as well as cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Annette enjoyed being a member of New Spring Church, spending time and playing cards with many friends at Houndslake Country Club, and cruising to many foreign destinations.

A Celebration of Life service will be held June 30 at 4:00 p.m. at New Spring Church with Pastor Matt Steelman officiating.
