Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Irma Langford will take place on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 2:00pm at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW with Rev. Thomas Bivins officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service. Interment will take place on Tuesday at 1pm at Ray City GA Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to the Millbrook Baptist Church Mission Fund, 176 East Pinelog Rd. Aiken, SC 29803-6162. Mrs. Langford, 84, of Aiken, died on Friday, December 11, 2009 at Azalea Woods Nursing Home. A daughter of J. R. Langford, Sr. and Nancy Lee Futch Langford, she was born in Berrien County, GA and graduated from Nashville High School in 1944. She moved to Atlanta in 1945 and worked at Rich's Department Store before she moved back to Ray City in 1968. She stayed there until moving to Aiken in 1986. She had been a member of Ray City Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters; Cleo Langford and Marjorie Langford. She is survived by her brother, J. R. Langford, Jr., New Ellenton, SC, several cousins and nieces and nephews.
