Late in Paul’s successful career, he was a key member of an SRS multi-disciplinary team that partnered with a a team from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory to develop new technology to immobilize and dispose of plutonium from retired nuclear weapons. Paul brought a practical engineering approach to this important project for the Department of Energy. Always the consummate professional, he was instrumental in keeping the project on point and on schedule. He was respected and liked by all of his coworkers for his important contributions and his calm, thoughtful approach to solving problems. Working with Paul was always a positive and stress-free experience.
