Obituary of Lavonne Anne Boatwright

AIKEN, SC – Lavonne “Anne” Boatwright, age 72, passed away Sunday morning, January 2, 2022 at 7:30 a.m. She went to Heaven to play the piano for her Lord & Savior with her husband of fifty-six years holding her hand.

In addition to her husband, Wallace; her daughter Lisa; and son, Jeff (Stacy); and three grandchildren, Jacob Gallegos, Brent Gallegos, and Sydney Boatwright, will cherish the memories of her life. Other survivors are her sister Francis; two brothers Tommy (Mary) and Gerald, all of Aiken.

Anne had a love for birds, especially Cardinals. She loved the Lord and he was her first priority. Additionally, she enjoyed cooking, baking, and feeding people. Anne was a member of Redd’s Branch Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher, pianist, and organist. 

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Redd’s Branch Baptist Church, with Pastor Richard McWhite officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Redd’s Branch Baptist Church, 390 Redds Branch Rd, Aiken, SC 29801.
