Obituary of Margaret Ann Roberts

AIKEN, SC – Margaret Ann Roberts, age 87, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 14, 2021, in the presence of her daughter, Corley, and husband, Bill.

Mrs. Roberts was born October 19, 1934 in Paris, Arkansas to the late Oliver Jesse Corley and Violet Lucille O’Kelly Corley.

Margaret was a resident of Woodside Plantation, Aiken, SC for the past twenty-eight years, having previously lived in St. Charles, IL. She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Charles Roberts; and a niece, Lori Green.

Survivors include her beloved husband of sixty-seven years, Bill Roberts; her children, Susan Kay Roberts, Corley P. Roberts, and William Ross Roberts; two grandchildren, Sarah McLaurine and Jessica Alshebli; a great-grandson, William Alshebli; a sister, Vera Casey; two nephews, Alan Wray and Kenny Wray; and her two loving Tibetan Spaniels, Nova and Stella.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Aiken SPCA, 199 Willow Run Rd., Aiken, SC 29801.

A reception celebrating her life will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 18, 2021, at The Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803.649.6234).
