Obituary of Ernst Ringle
AIKEN, SC – Ernst Ringle, age 88, died Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at home.
Ernst was born January 26, 1933 in Pirmasens, Germany to the late Ernst Ringle and Irma Ringle. He received his master’s degree in civil engineering in Germany. Ernst was proud to have build hydro-electric power plants and dams all over the world. He came to the USA in 1964 and worked for Stone & Webster in Boston until he started working for Noell in Virginia to sell Air Pollution Equipment in the US. He retired in 1999 and moved to Aiken in 2007. He was proud to be a member of The Aiken Symphony Guild and enjoyed every concert. He also belonged to Romeos and OFCC and enjoyed the company of the members a lot. He also enjoyed living in Aiken.
His first wife, Ann, died of leukemia. Ernst and Ulla met in Sir Lanka and were married there amid friends and elephants. Ernst was a very social man. He liked to talk about his life overseas and his jobs. He was proud to have lived in thirteen countries for more than a year.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, Ulla, include a brother, Manfred of Olsberg, Germany; a sister, Traudel Eckel of Maintal, Germany; nieces, Danielle and Nathalie.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 12, 2021 beginning at 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at George Funeral Home.
