Having grown up with the Payton family at Central Baptist Church. I adopted their Mom as my adopted Grandmother years ago. God bless the family during this time of loss.

I love you Bobby Payton, I know you are in Heaven with Mom, Dad, Richard, Becky and Kim. God reached out to you "Come with Me" what a glorious and blessed moment that must have been. My very first date and yours too, a church hayride and we had so much fun. We vowed to go on another hayride one day - well I guess that's gonna be in HEAVEN and that suits me just fine. Our wonderful high school years, all the letters we shared when you were in the Army in Viet Nam, talking on the phone and seeing you in Aiken -- every memory floods my heart with gratefulness to have shared so much life together. Truth is everyone loved you - the coaches, teachers, parents, guys and girls in our class of "66, we ALL loved you and we are going to miss you sweet friend. Don't worry about sister Pam, we will look after her especially during this difficult time - my goodness she is blessed with the Payton Family strength and endurance but above all the love and understanding God watches over his children. Rest now our Bobby angel - 'til we meet again.

Bobby and I were friends in high school. He was the pole vaulter on our track team. He was very good at it. It took a great deal of upper body strength. He had that.
He and Becky were always kind, friendly and gentle people. He will be missed.
I'm so sorry for your loss.

Dear sweet Pam, It's very difficult to find the most comforting words for you, other than God loves you and understands your sorrow. I don't know how you have been able to go through the last few months and years, but I do know He was beside you all the way. Losing your two siblings, Bobby and Beckly within weeks of each other and your precious daughter, Kim only days before Bobby is heart breaking. I know your faith is strong and you have your mother's sweet spirit and caring bedside manner, and I'm sure her love surrounded you as you cared for your family. Please know I'm praying for God's love and peace to be with you every moment. Your family has always been very dear to me. Richard will always hold a special place in my heart since we dated all those years ago, and losing him was such a shock. Pam, you are the strength of your family, and I admire you so. Please take care of yourself and be assured your many friends across the state love and support you with prayer. Remember, I'm only a couple of miles away... Bonnie

I am so sorry to hear about Bobby passing. We grew up together at Central Baptist Church. He was always a very nice, friendly person. My family met his family when they moved here from Florida and Mr. Payton came into my Mom's store. She invited them to our church. I have always loved the entire Payton family. I know Bobby is having a great reunion with Becky, his Wonderful parents, Kim, Leonard, my Aunt Eva, and ALL the other friends and family in Heaven. {HUGS} to all of his family. You are all in my prayers. Love, Ethel Bell Walker

Time passes, then we realize how short our lives on this earth, but we have all have such good and sweet memories of our classmates who have gone before us. Bobby was one of those who always had a smile on his face and good thoughts. Being on the Track Team with him, he once attempted to teach me how to pole-vault. What a joke with lots of laughs that was. Prayers to family and friends who will dearly miss him. Brenda Magness Findlay

Pam and family, my heart is just breaking with the news of Bobby’s death. He was a dear friend and classmate who I thought the world of. I’ve tried to keep in touch and am so pleased to see you have used a picture that I took of him. As much as we will all miss him, it’s a comfort to know that he can breathe again and that he is in the arms of our Lord. God bless your sweet family.
