Obituary of Noelle K Norton

Columbia, SC: Noelle Kristine Norton, 50, of Columbia, SC, passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, following a brief illness.

Noelle was born in Bamberg, SC, the daughter of Sherrill (Sherry) Siegmund Norton of Aiken and the late Jerry William Norton. In addition to her mother, Noelle is survived by her beloved companion, Randall Williams, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Noelle began living in Aiken in 1975 and graduated from Aiken High School in 1989. She attended the University of South Carolina in Columbia and continued to live in Columbia ever since. She worked primarily in the restaurant and wine sales businesses, as well as more recently in animal daycare.

Noelle was a bright light, an extraordinary woman who touched many lives and will be missed beyond measure.  Strong-willed, outgoing, and kind, she was a force of nature who made friends wherever she went.  She loved and worked with animals and had given a home to several rescued dogs.  She was especially fond of “pitties”.

In lieu of flowers, if so desired, memorials may be made to the animal shelter of your choice.

A Celebration of Life has been planned by her friends and will be held Sunday, September 26, 4-7 pm, at the Black Rooster, 201 Meeting Street, West Columbia, SC.
