Obituary of Rebecca Jean Payton

      Rebecca “Becki” Jean Payton, 73, a resident of Surfside Beach, SC, passed away peacefully and into the arms of her Savior, at her sister’s home following an extended illness.

     Born in Gainesville, Florida on August 21, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Grady and Virgie Payton. She was a retired Administrative Assistant for the CEO of Northrup Grumman, a contractor for the United States Government. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Aiken.

     Becky leaves behind a sister, Pamela Payton Plunkett of Aiken; a twin brother, Robert Wade Payton of Aiken; 2 nieces, Kimberlie Fralick and Brandi (Mark) Deas all of Aiken; a nephew, David “Clay” Plunkett of Aiken; an uncle and aunt, Edward and Joy Hedstrom of Palatka, Fl.; two beloved fur babies which she loved dearly, Kai & Chevy, as well as numerous other great nieces, great nephews and a host of friends and extended family.

      In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by a brother, Richard A. Payton.

     There will be no memorial services; however, friends and family are welcome to call at the home of her sister, Pam.

     In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare, 199 Willow Run Road, Aiken, SC 29801.
