Obituary of Lona Rebecca Patane

     Lona Rebecca Nyers Patane, 76, beloved wife of Fortunato “Patrick” Patane, passed away peacefully at her residence on the evening of Friday, June 25, 2021 surrounded by her family. Although her presence will be missed, she is finally at peace and resting in the arms of her Savior.

     Born in New Brunswick, NJ on January 25, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Helen Meszaros Nyers. She was a retired administrative assistant. She attended Trinity United Methodist Church. Lona enjoyed traveling, spending time with her family & friends, quilting, sewing, knitting, football & NASCAR and cooking.

     Surviving in addition to her husband are a son and daughter-in-law, Christopher & Stacy Patane of Hilton Head, SC; grandchildren, Sara & CJ; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Charlie, & Cameron; a sister and brother-in-law, Syliva & Tom Slack.

     Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, July 2, 2021 at Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Donnie Bates officiating.

     The family will receive friends from 10:00am until 10:45am Friday morning at the church.
