Dear Scott & Elanor, Lois was my friend & mentor for 20+ yrs., from the time we met at the hospital, & after, we worked together for many yrs. in ICU. Lois was a dear friend, she & I always connected, esp. with her wry since of humor, we would occ. tease each other about private jokes & stories about our lives. I just saw her last month, and am still in shock that she is gone from this world, but I know she is looking down on us & will be there to see us when it is our time. Elanor, your mom was so proud of you! I'm sure she is still with you & that her lessons & caring love will continue to guide you.
With my deepest condolences & sympathy, Tawney Gavin

Scott & Eleanor God bless on this loss of such an angel. I worked with Lois and remember so much. The tricks she played on Scott before marriage and the laughter she brought to work. I had surgery & no one to look after me right after. Lois came in 2hrs after and said you look terrible, I was dehydrated, no one answered light. Lois made me a double lime sherbert gingerale float . Nothing has ever tasted so good since. I have seen Eleanor grow up by her birthdays in the paper, please keep it up. God bless you and know Lois will not be forgotten and we are all the better for knowing Lois. She was awesome and God is so happy to have her. Tina Kneece Luke

I had the privilege of working with Lois back in our ICU days and was also blessed by her presence during my father’s illness when she was the nurse filling in at the Cancer Center. Wow, I just knew she was placed there by God.
What an amazing presence she was, as I was in awe at how she was able to step into all the roles she did at the hospital and did each with such skill. She was always the one to ask the questions we all wanted to ask but didn’t think to do so. She was always the one seeking knowledge to make us all better nurses. She touched many lives.
I am sorry for your loss.
God Bless,

Scott and Eleanor,
I am deeply saddened to hear of Lois' untimely passing. I remember working night shifts with her in ICU and no matter what the circumstances, Lois always had the best interest of her patients at heart. She was caring, determined and driven to be the best nurse she could and helped others around her be the best they could be. I will miss her laugh, her wit and her ability to tell some of the funniest stories I have ever heard. She loved you both so much and it showed each and every time she spoke of you. I am very fortunate to have had her friendship for so many years. She was truly a blessing to us all. My thoughts and prayers are with you both at this very sad time.
