Please share a memory of Margaret to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
AIKEN, SC: Margaret E. (Maggie) Lind, 68, succumbed to cancer after her long fight on Sunday, May 16, 2021. She passed in her home surrounded by her loving husband and children.
She was born in Midland, Michigan to her predeceased parents, Edwin and Lucille Tucker. Maggie was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, friend, and servant. She lived a life full of joy, laughter, and dedication to her family and friends; always finding the blessings. Her passion for community is highlighted by service as a Loaned Executive with United Way and her participation with Toys for Tots. She made elaborate baskets for the elderly during the Easter season, purchased games and toys for orphanages, bought and delivered several CD players for a nursing home, participated in stuff the bus, and countless other efforts. If she could find a kind act, she implemented it. If there was a community need, she met it. If there was a holiday or occasion, she ornately celebrated it. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she was the grandmother extraordinaire to her grandchildren, as well as many other children. Maggie lived life abundantly. She loved, gave, and kept joy in her heart; even through her battle, and up until her final days. She found the good in everyone and every situation and encouraged others to do the same. She also enjoyed playing Bunco, participating in Bechtel Wives Club, Garden Club, Book Club and Gourmet lunch Club. Maggie retired from Bechtel after 28 years while working at the Savannah River Site.
She is survived by her husband Rick Lind; Brother Edwin Tucker and wife Carla; Sons Shayne Case and wife Meg, John Case and wife Chrissy; Daughters Andrea Boyes and husband Dale, and Jonelle Lieb. She is grandmother to eight grandchildren; Jonathon Case, Ricardo Jones, Aidan Case, Marshall Case, Dylan Young, Jordan Sheckels, Tyler Baird, and Anna Baird. She is also the Aunt to three; Nicholas, Chad, and Kenneth Tucker.
