Stef:
I just received your card today informing me of the heart breaking news. Brian was truly my very best long distance friend and I am very sadden by this news. We had good times working together and I always joke about him teaching me the Queen's proper English. He was a brilliant economic writer and I read every news letter. I just mentioned him on Christmas to my guess and how I missed going to lunch with him. Little did I know that I am going to miss him more. As a Catholic we pray to people we believe are in heaven to intercede for us with God, I am sure Brian will be there listening.
Again I offer you my sincere condolence.

I am so glad that we made contact again this year and enjoyed our e-mails catching up with past & present news about our families. I am deeply saddened that we will not have an opportunity to meet up again. I'm forever grateful for your e-mail after the sad passing of Ann Lambert, and I have read and re-read all your replies to my e-mails. I do remember when I was very young when we used to visit Aunty Peg & Uncle Tony and you, and have fond memories of sitting with Aunty Peg while she gave Caroline her tea - boiled egg and soldiers - I did put this in one of my e-mails to you and said that I would remind her of this one day - I hope Caroline will read this now !
I'm very proud to have you as my cousin, with fond memories, love from Marilyn xx
