Obituary of Melvin E Seigler

AIKEN, SC – Melvin Eugene Seigler, age 75, entered into rest Saturday, February 27, 2021, at Aiken Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Seigler was born June 19, 1945 in Aiken, SC to the late Ashton Seigler and the late Mildred Gregory Seigler. He was a life-long resident of Aiken County. He worked in sales for both Morton’s TV and Edward’s. He was a painter by trade for over thirty years. Mr. Seigler was a devoted father and grandfather. He enjoyed being outside and tinkering with things. He loved his family and the mountains.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine Daughtery.

Survivors include a daughter, Lee Ann Cantrell (Free), Graniteville, SC; two grandchildren, Carlee Leopard (Matt) and Ridge Cantrell (Jessica Montoya); four great-grandchildren, Bryer Leopard, Paris and PJ DiPaolo, and Reign Cantrell; a sister, Brenda Jeffords; a brother, Carroll Seigler; and nephews, Robbie Jeffords and David Widener.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 3, 2012 at The Historic George Funeral Home, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803.649.6234).
