To all of the Neuberg’s, our family sends our condolences and virtual hugs!
Please know your husband, Dad, grandpa, friend, etc... meant the world to our family. He was our real estate agent Knight in shiny armor with a lovely fair maiden assistant that we had the privilege to work with and become friends with. I wear my crazy socks now as a tribute, not as just socks. Will always have him and his fair maiden in our hearts!

Gary,
I will always cherish the lifetime adventures we shared. My memories of you date back to junior high and senior high schools;
stopping by to see you at The Big Donut drive-in while you were working, sharing laughs when we both worked at Chicken Delight cooking and delivering food, poker games with the guys at your house on Cota, and on and on....
Through the years, even though we lived in different cities, we stayed in touch. Later in our lives you met and married Claudia and I married Sydney. We became a happy foursome and enjoyed some great times together. We will always fondly remember our many travels together.
It was so fun leaving the driving to you. You were a great chauffeur and good sport. Two of our fondest trips were our New England fall colors road trip (where the U-turn episodes left us howling) and our most recent trip to visit you in the South.
Your generosity to others was a very special trait. Your laughter and up-beat attitude was "so Gary" You were the first to find humor in driving us back and forth from our hotel to the Savannah airport to hopefully find our lost luggage. How many trips did it take?
It didn't matter, you made it fun.
Gary, you have always had a very special heart. Whether it was picking up the tab for a service man and his wife at some diner in New Hampshire or paying the toll for the car behind us in Massachusetts, you embraced a life of gratitude and generosity. Your acts
of kindness truly exemplified your nature. They even extended to your canine pals. Your "Butters" was so very special to you.
Gary, it was so evident your love and devotion to your family. You and Claudia are forever soulmates. Although we never met William, Emily, Quinn, Benson, and Copper, your joyfulness in being a dad and Papa to them was so strongly apparent.
You have truly been an inspiration to us. Our memories of you will live forever in our hearts.
Love,
Sydney and Ed

Gary, every time we talked to you, you brought a smile to our faces and laughter to our hearts. Even when you were in pain yourself you were more focused on others. I always enjoyed visiting and talking with you. We will miss your great spirit, your love of all things and your outlook on life.

Gary was my big o'l friend. I was 25 when I met him (5 years ago). I walked into an open house he was hosting and immediately we were friends. You see, Gary never met a stranger, only friends. My name is Kayla, but my name for Gary was "kid". After all, I was a kid to him. At the time, I had a two year old daughter and a husband (have added a son since) and Gary just took us under his real estate wing. He always told me that I would make a great real estate agent one day. Our transaction went smoothly, and he managed to successfully sell our house and get us under contract on our other home (not an easy task but do-able for a great agent such as him) Gary would always pop by to see us. I used to think Gary was just such a wonderful agent, but I see now it was actually because he was an even more wonderful person. He did everything right, and I have such a deep respect for that. Through the years, we met Claudia and it was like I had always known her too. Last year I took Gary's advice about becoming a real estate agent. When I am met with a difficult transaction, I can hear him say "is it the best for your clients"? "Always protect your clients first" I was in shock the day I found out my sweet friend passed away. He loved his family so so much. Gary truly was a special person, and I will miss our random phone calls greatly. I will carry his generous wealth of knowledge he managed to share with me and will always remember him.
Sending all my love to you, Claudia, and to your sweet family.
-Kayla McDonald, Corey, and kids.

Gary, this by far is the most difficult thing I’ve had to do without you. This would have been our 32nd year together on our adventure; definitely a cross between “Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride” and an “E Ticket”. Lots of ups and downs, tears and laughter but we always made our way through the challenges and grew stronger as individuals and together for all of it. You were my, “social butterfly”, my partner in discovering new and unique places, continuously pushing the limits, making me laugh and constantly thanking me for being your wife.
I know there were so many things you still wanted to accomplish personally and as a couple. Just a few weeks ago you asked me if people would remember you and what would they remember for? Well Gary, you accomplished so much more than you ever realized. Countless people have contacted me to let me know the impact you made on their lives and what you did for them. No one was a stranger with you, you made friends all over the country, making sure everyone was comfortable, making sure they had something to eat or drink, you shared your knowledge, kindness, generosity, willingness to volunteer and help out, laughter, sense of humor, and above all, the love you had for your family, friends and most of all, being a grandpa (PaPa Gary). All of us grieve for you and feel the enormous loss without you.
Gary, thank you for giving me the opportunity to share this journey with you. I’ll be waiting to meet up with you again, give you a hug, and start our next adventure.

Claudia what a beautiful message to your love and life partner. My heartfelt sympathy to you and the children and grandchildren. I know you are a very strong woman, but give yourself a pass this time and let others hold you up while you walk through the days ahead. I miss you my friend and wish I could give you a big hug. Much love to you - Kate McWilliams

In honor of our dear friend, Gary Neuberg, Helane and I planted a small grove of 5 trees in the Angeles National Forest, California. Gary was a dear friend of mine that I have known and loved for close to 67 years. He was always more a brother than a friend to me. We not only shared a lifelong friendship, we nearly shared the same birthdate. Gary, 1/2/49 & me 1/3/49. He’s therefore is one day older than me. The grove of trees we planted in Gary’s honor is truly a living memorial that symbolizes his gift of giving & his nurturing of life.
“Death leaves a heartache no one can heal;
Love leaves a memory no one can steal!”
I am very grateful that Gary phoned me on New Year’s Day to wish me a Happy Birthday and me wish him one too. We spoke at length. Little did I know it would be our last conversation ever. Gary was a special friend, man, husband, father, brother and grandfather. He was a kind, generous, caring and loving human being. If there is a more loved man on the planet, I would love to meet him.
Wishing you a peaceful next journey my friend. You will live forever in our memories and our souls.
It was an honor to be your friends,
Love,
Rick and Helane Weingarten
