Obituary of Joseph Frederick Sabino

Joseph Frederick Sabino, age 78, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020, at his home.

Mr. Sabino was born March 7, 1942 in West Haven, CT to the late Barbara and Pasquale Sabino. He was a resident of Aiken since 1974. He retired from Savannah River Site after twenty-two years and then worked as a Realtor for the past fifteen years. He was employed with Woodside Aiken Realty. Joe, as he was affectionally known, enjoyed golf, cars (especially Corvettes), traveling, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Sabino was preceded in death by a brother, Pasquale Sabino.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-seven years, Marion Sabino; two daughters, Dawn Bunn (Fred), Alpharetta, GA and Stacey Norwood, Aiken, SC; a son, Joseph Frederick Sabino Jr., Sarasota, FL; ten grandchildren, Katherine Davis, Caroline Sabino, Kristen Garren, Carlton Norwood Jr., Kaitlin Bunn, Elizabeth Allen, Alexandra Bunn, Frederick Bunn, William Bunn, and Joseph Bunn; and a great-grandson, John Allen.

A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fairfield St., with Father Francisco Onate-Vargas as celebrant. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
