Funeral services for Mrs. Cornelia Hatcher Fulmer will be held Friday, March 14, 2003 at 1 PM at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Johnston, SC, with Pastor J. Chris Fischer officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 13, 2003 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence. Mrs. Fulmer, 93, of Aiken, SC, wife of the late Charlie Fulmer, died Tuesday, evening, March 11, 2003 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. Born in and a life long resident of Aiken County, she was a daughter of the late John Preston Hatcher and Hattie Gregory Hatcher, and was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. A caring person, she always put others first and donated many of her handmade lap blankets to many local nursing homes. The family has estimated the number donated to be around five hundred. Daughters, Eunice Morris and Frances Bryant, both of Aiken, SC; sons, Eugene Fulmer, Ridge Spring, SC and Charles P. Fulmer, Aiken, SC; sixteen grandchildren, thirty four great-grandchildren, and fourteen great-great-grandchildren, survive. At the request of the family, please make memorials in memory of Mrs. Fulmer to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, c/o the Building Fund, 1186 Mt. Calvary Rd., Johnston, SC 29832.
