AIKEN, SC – James Edward Hinkle, Jr, 69, of Aiken, passed away July 12, 2020.

 

Born in Covington, KY on July 10, 1951, he was the son of the late James Edward Hinkle Sr. and Mary Rechtin Hinkle. Mr. Hinkle was a graduate of St. Xavier High School and the University of Cincinnati. He was a CPA and consultant within the propane industry.  He had a passion for politics, Cincinnati sports, music, and Mark Twain.         

 

In addition to his mother, Mary, he is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Lester (Jason), and Alison Ferryman (Jeffrey); two sons, James Hinkle III (Erin) and Alexander Hinkle; three sisters, Beverly DeFinney (Fred), Marilyn Hutchens, and Janet Caywood (John); four grandchildren, Catherine Hinkle, Natalie Hinkle, Benjamin Hinkle, and Hailey Lester

 

Services will be held on Monday, July 27th at 10:00am at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 11000 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, OH 45249.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 5211, Aiken, C 29804.

 

The Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803.649.6234), has charge of arrangements.
