GRANITEVILLE, SC – Dr. George Covington Avent Jr., age 56, entered into rest Saturday, May 23, 2020.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Town Creek Baptist Church with Revs. Clint Smith and Tommy McGill officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the church. Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Town Creek Baptist Church, 250 Town Creek Rd., Aiken, SC 29803.
