RUFUS OR. MILLER, 73 of AIKEN, SC formerly of Paterson, NJ died Wednesday at home. Born in Hackensack, New Jersey, Mr. Miller resided in Paterson for most of his life before moving to Aiken, SC in 2000. Mr. Miller retired as a Construction Worker in both New York and New Jersey. Mr. Miller was a member of Mount Moriah Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and more recently was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church in Aiken, SC. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Barbara Graham in 1995 and by his second wife, the former Audrey Schiller Adis, in 2006; and by one brother, Charles E. Miller. Survivors include: his daughter, Hortense Miller of Lodi, NJ; his three children, George Michael Adis and his wife, Nancy of West Paterson, NJ, John Stephen Adis and his wife, Helen of Toms River, NJ and Lorraine Rega and her husband, Thomas of Aiken, SC; his brother, Sylvester Miller, of Paterson, NJ; his sister, Lolita Thomas of Paterson; his grandchildren, Stephanie Michele Swearingen and her husband, Michael, Natalie Adis, Michael Andrew Adis and great grandson, Michael David Swearingen; and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be 10:30 am Tuesday at BIZUB-PARKER FUNERAL HOME, 47 Main Street, Little Falls. Interment Fairlawn Memorial Cemetery, Fairlawn. Visitation on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Memorial Contributions to Lighthouse Baptist Church, 2150 Columbia Highway North, Aiken, SC 29801 would be appreciated.
