Doug was a man of incredible intellect and immeasurable compassion that I am honored to have known. His enormous impact on national security pales only in comparison to the indelible mark he left on those of us lucky enough to have known him. His love of family and unwavering kindness were the hallmarks of this quiet, gentle man. He would reach out a helping hand without a second thought and his example made all of those around him better people. Our deepest heartfelt condolences.
