Aiken: David Homer Payton, Jr, 45, of Aiken, passed away December 11, 2019 at his home.

Born December 6, 1974 in Augusta, GA, he was the son of Mr. David Homer Payton, Sr and Christine Wilkerson Payton.

David was very artistic.  He wrote beautiful poetry and many delightful songs.  He enjoyed his guitar and was an avid reader.  More than anything however, he loved his animals.  Two of his favorites were his Border Collies, Colie and Jett.

He will be lovingly remembered by his parents; his sister, Christy Payton Fox (Glenn); his brother, John Payton (Leigh); his nieces and nephews, Justin and Danny Fox and Hunter, Michael, Tad and Emily Payton; and many aunts and uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 4-6PM, Saturday, December 14, 2019 at The Historic George Funeral Home, 211 Park Ave. SW, Aiken.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, December 15, 2019 at 3PM at Earle Church of God, 341 Earl Church Rd, Aiken, SC 29805.  Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
