On the evening after Sept. 11, 2001, I remember Uncle Carliss calling me (in Alexandria, VA) to see if we were okay. I hadn't seen him for many years before that, but he was still taking time to check on his family. I also remember the jokes and jabs and that little black sports car he had many years ago . . . he was the the cool uncle, no doubt.
Our condolences and prayers to Aunt Diane and all the family. He will be missed but I know he is now resting with the Savior (and probably drag racing someone).
