Annie and Rick Luck posted a condolence

My wife Annie and I enjoyed all of the years that we had Paul and Marguerite as our friends. Paul and I became friends when I first met him at the Men's Prayer Group and he shared with me his devotion to his wife.
Over all of our years together he would show his enduring devotion to Marguerite. Many times I told him God's plan for him was to set an example on the Love a person should have for their spouse.
He would rather discuss the love he had for his wife, children and grandkids then his memorable military career. When I would get him to discuss the military he would somehow get back to talking about his family.
We will always treasure the wonderful memories that we have of Paul.
Paul
I Thank My God Every Time I Remember You
God watched you as you suffered and knew you had your share. He gently closed your weary eyes and took you in His Care.
God has you in His keeping, we have you in our hearts. Your memory is our keepsake and with that we'll never part.
God saw you were getting tired and recovery was not to be. So he put His arms around you and whispered, "Come with Me".
With tearful eyes we watched you surrender and saw you fade away.
Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands put to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to
us, He only takes the best.

Is has been an honor and pleasure to met a real life hero like Major Paul Roosen. Thank you Major Roosen for your service and the many tours of duty you served as a Marine. Without it the freedom we enjoy in the USA would not possible.
Watching Major Roosen's love and devotion to his lifelong partner, his wife Margaretta should be an inspiration to all that marry. His warm smile and bright blues eyes, along with his love of God will also be with me forever.
Now that you are home in God's peace Major Roosen, you can be ready for Margaretta to join you.
Rest in peace...
