Obituary of Isabel Ramona Owens

WAGENER, SC—Isabel Ramona Owens, 81, of Wagener went home to be with our Lord on June 30, 2019 after a short battle with cancer.

She was born on December 10, 1937 to the late Mr. Halton H. Wilcox and Mrs. Ruby Isabel (Hardy) Wilcox in Bogalusa, LA.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Bobby F. Owens of Wagener, SC; a son, Mr. Clyde Alfred Owens of Brunswick, GA; two brothers, Mr. Charlie Wilcox and Mr. Halton Wilcox; and a sister, Mrs. Ethel Biannci.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Pearl Schumaher of Wisconsin; a son, Mr. Charles “Chuck” S. Owens and his wife Jennifer of Brunswick, GA; two daughters, Mrs. Diana Kennington and her husband Jackie of Panama City, FL and Mrs. Angela Newbern and her husband James “Jimmy” Newbern Jr. of Wagener, SC; two stepchildren, Charles R. Woods and his wife Vimelda of Virginia Beach, VA and Mrs. Kristin Partin and her husband David “Bubba” Partin of Blackshear, GA; her ex-husband and life-long friend of 69 years, Mr. Robert “Bobby” H. Woods of Wagener, SC; eighteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a wonderful woman who loved her family and friends. She was loved and will be missed by all who’s lives she touched. We love you mama and you will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM Monday, July 15, 2019 at Couchton Baptist Church in Aiken, SC where she was a member. At 5:00 PM a dinner will be served so all visitors are asked to arrive around 4:30 pm for congregating. The service will be officiated by Mr. Ernie Youngblood.
