Obituary of Leonard Jerome White

AIKEN, SC—Leonard Jerome White, age 86, entered into rest Friday, June 7, 2019 at his residence with his family by his side.

Mr. White was born August 21, 1932 in Langley, SC to the late Marvin and Arvater White. He was a life-long area resident and was a well-known carpenter. Mr. White was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 67 years, Gwendolyn Carpenter White; a daughter, Linda West (Oliver), Batesburg, SC; two sons, Ricky White (Debbie) and Steve White (Julie), all of Aiken, SC; seven grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 PM Sunday, June 9, 2019 at George Funeral Home, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM in The George Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Pineview Memorial Gardens. Rev. Bobby Grover will officiate. Grandsons and Great-Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
