Obituary of Bobby Arnold Burke

Bobby Arnold Burke, 77, of Inman, SC, formerly of Aiken, SC passed away on Saturday, September 29, 2018 after a brief struggle with cancer. 

Bobby was born November 7, 1940 in Millen Georgia to the late Arnold Lee and  Louise (Padgett) Burke.  He retired from Owens Corning after 37 years.  Bobby stayed active after his retirement fishing, shrimping, building furniture and working on cars. 

Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Martha McSwain Burke; son and daughter-in-law, David Paul and Rhonda (Bullman) Burke; daughter, Lisa Gambrell of Asheville, NC; granddaughter, Madi Burke of Wellford, SC; sister, Connie Sharp of Orlando, FL and sister, Pat Creed of Myrtle Beach, SC. 

The family will receive friends from 3:30 - 4:00 PM on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Shiloh Memorial Cemetery, 4040 New Cut Road, Inman, SC 29394.  Graveside Services will follow at 4:00 PM   with Rev. Thurston Faulkner officiating.

A memorial service will be held in Aiken, SC at George Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 6:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 Faris Rd. Greenville, SC 29605.
