Funeral services for Mr. Dancel Leonard ?Dan? Temples will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2003 at 11 AM at Shiloh Baptist Church, Aiken, SC, with Pastor Richard Swift officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Temples will be placed in the church at 10 Wednesday, morning. Pallbearers will be Ray Blanks, Steve Cain, Phillip Cain, and Ryan Blanks. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 19, 2003 from 6:30 until 8:00 PM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC. Mr. Temples, 70, of Augusta, GA, son of Pansy Fulmer Temples, Aiken, SC, and the late Grady Shaw Temples, died Saturday, evening, August 16, 2003 at the University Hospital, Augusta, GA. Born in Aiken, SC, he had been a resident of Augusta, GA, for the past twenty years where he was a member of Warren Baptist Church. Dan retired from Prudential after twenty-five years as an insurance agent. In addition to his mother, daughters, Janet Temples Blanks,Aiken, SC, Gaye Temples Cain, Aiken, SC, and Phyllis Temples DeBord, North Augusta, SC; a son, Douglas Edward Temples, Aiken, SC; and grandchildren, Allison Blanks, Ryan Blanks, Kathren Cain, Phillip Cain, Lauren DeBord, Stephanie DeBord, Douglas Edward Temples, and Grant Hunt, survive.
