Memorial services for Mrs. Mamie Sue Shackleford Fountain will be private. Mrs. Fountain, 92, of Monticello, died Wednesday, morning, January 19, 2005 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, Aiken, SC. Born in Madison, FL, a daughter of the late Gus and Ada Smith Shackleford, she and her late husband, Luther Thomas Fountain,Sr. ran the family farm for many years. She is survived by a son, Luther Thomas Fountain, Jr, Monticello, FL; daughters, Annie Charron, Monticello, FL, Judith Lee Miller, Monticello, FL, Shirley Yvonne Bailey, Jacksonville, FL and Claudia F. Bailey, Warrenville, SC; sisters, Olivia Woods, and Agnes Schierkolk, both of Madison, FL; eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
