Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Norman L. Stevens will be celebrated Saturday, October 11, 2003 at 11AM at St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Aiken, SC, with the Reverend Gade Show Reddy celebrant. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the residence. Mr. Stevens, 70, of Aiken, SC, husband Mrs. Joan Easley Stevens, died Tuesday, night, October 7, 2003 at his residence under the care of Hitchcock Hospice. Born in Houston, TX, a son of the late Jack and Elsie Rhode Stevens, he was a graduate of Southwest Texas State and also obtained a Juries Doctorate. Mr. Stevens was an attorney and been with Aminoil-Phiilips and also Westinghouse. He was a communicant of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, was a member of the Knights of Columbus and also Houndslake Country Club, and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. In addition to his wife of forty-two years, Joan Easley Stevens, sons, Ron Stevens, Dallas, TX and Scott Stevens, San Antonio, TX; brothers, David and Ken Stevens, both of Houston, TX; and grandchildren, Ashley and Tiffany Stevens, survive. The family has requested memorials in memory of Mr. Stevens be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Drawer K., Aiken, SC 29802 or Hitchcock Hospice, 690 Medical Park Dr., Aiken, SC 29801.
