Funeral services for Mr. Robert ?Shot? Bolen will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at 11 AM at George Funeral Homes, Historic Downtown Chapel, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC, with Pastor Jimmy Wingate officiating. Interment will follow in the Tabernacle Baptist Church Cemetery, Kitchings Mill, SC. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 23, 2004 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home. Mr. Bolen, 91, of Aiken, SC, affectionately known as ?Shot?, husband of forty-five years to Mrs. Verba Evans Bolen, died Sunday, morning, November 21, 2004 at Mattie C. Hall Health Care Center, Aiken, SC. Born in Kitchings Mill, SC, a son of the late Robert Milton and Anna Brodie Bolen, Shot was a retired farmer and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter, former professional boxer, and loved to play his harmonica. In addition to his wife, a daughter, Wanda Ingram Manning, Augusta, GA; son, Lawrence Ingram, Windsor, SC; sister, Mary Evelyn Gibson, Dublin, GA; twelve grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, survive. In addition to his parents, sons, Larry and Leonard Ingram, preceded him in death. The family has asked that memorials in memory of Shot be made to the Savannah River Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 3694, Aiken, SC 29802
