A memorial service for Bonnie L. Tumminia will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 14, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 961 Trail Ridge Road, Aiken, SC, 29803, Interment will follow in the St. Paul Columbarium, under the care of GEORGE FUNERAL HOME. A reception will follow in the fellowship hall. Bonnie entered into eternal rest with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, March 4, 2015. Bonnie was born on March 5, 1945 in Neptune, NJ and spent many years working for Allied Chemical Corporation in New York City and later in Morristown, NJ. Upon moving to California with her husband Frank, Bonnie worked for Occidental Petroleum and Warner Brothers. Her last work assignment was with Ryland Home Builders, in their legal department. Bonnie was diagnosed with cancer in April 2004 and underwent surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatments. In 2008, Bonnie and Frank retired and relocated to Aiken. Bonnie was very active at St. Paul, serving on numerous committees. She was a lover of animals and always had loving pets to surround her. She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Tumminia of Aiken. In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions in her memory be made to the ASPCA here in Aiken.
